Georgia and Portugal played out a thrilling 18-18 draw in their first-ever Rugby World Cup match on Saturday, with Portugal missing a penalty in the dying seconds that would have secured a famous victory.

With time running out, Portugal had a chance to win the match with a penalty kick, but Marques' effort sailed wide of the posts and the match ended in a draw.

The draw was a fair result in a match that was closely contested throughout.
