Minnows cause biggest upset of tournament so far with sensational 2-0 win

Minnows Georgia produced the biggest upset of UEFA Euro 2024 so far by stunning Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal 2-0 to book their place in the round of 16.

The Georgian side, ranked 125th in the world by FIFA, were given little chance of beating a Portuguese team featuring the likes of Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Joao Felix.

But goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Zuriko Davitashvili either side of half-time secured a famous victory for the minnows.

The result means Georgia have finished top of Group F, with Portugal dropping into second place.
